Meet the creators of LUNAR.

Sabrina Wu and Yichen Feng are #jeifellow alumni who met in our third cohort (2020-21.) They came together as curious capital managers from philanthropy (Sabrina) and private equity (Yichen)— two sectors that manage huge amounts of capital globally, but seldom collaborate on aligned capital deployment.

Sabrina and Yichen did collaborate, and created LUNAR, a community building and investment vehicle for Asian-Americans to support the movement for Black and Indigenous-led liberation. Through Giving Circles*, LUNAR creates space for community building, transformational learning, and collective funding. They take the insights from these giving circles to build out the larger $20M LUNAR fund, which is a giving circle at scale.

LUNAR is recruiting for their second Giving Circle (deadline is March 28th). This is for Asian Americans interested in building community around cross-racial solidarity and moving resources to Black and Indigenous communities.
