Taj James

September 19, 2026

Taj James is a father, poet, strategist, ecosystem designer, and philanthropic and capital steward and advisor. Through Full Spectrum Group, he works with transformational leaders, small teams, networks, and anchor institutions to move capital toward communities that have been denied access to capital. His current work includes Kinflow, the Liberated Futures Fund, Full Spectrum Venture Studio, and supporting MSC’s Donor Advised Fund and Integrated Fund Platform. He is an official dance instructor at the intersection of wild possibility and urgent practicality, where play and unleashed potential find each other.

Taj co-founded Movement Strategy Center, where he serves as vice chair, and co-founded The Good Life Pledge with Kat Taylor. He thrives on connecting community and capital stewards to bring financial value into alignment with sacred values in ways that build community wealth. A Stanford graduate and a Rockefeller Foundation Next Generation Leadership fellow, Taj lives with his family in Oakland, California.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Integrated and catalytic capital fund design and hybrid multi-entity design
  • Leveraging philanthropic capital strategy and donor advised funds for impact investing
  • Investor network and collaborative platform design
  • Defining purpose and finding “enoughness” with wealth, legacy, and intergenerational stewardship
