Ausannette García-Goyette (she/her) is a Senior Program Officer at the Irving Harris Foundation, advancing and strengthening intersectional grantmaking across Early Childhood and Reproductive Justice. In her role, she leads a portfolio of Birth Justice grants and helped to create and steward the Foundation’s first internal equity committee. Growing up on the South Texas border fueled her dedication to public service and social justice, which has guided her career serving communities in the U.S. and abroad through education, cultural exchange, and community development.
Ausannette was a 2021 Hispanics in Philanthropy’s Líderes Fellow, Rockwood Institute alumna, and participated in the Chicago Foundation for Women’s Women of Color United Giving Council. She led the development of the Illinois Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice (RHRJ) funders group, previously co-led the Illinois Early Childhood Funders group, and has served on the planning committee of Funders for Reproductive Equity’s BIPOC Learning Community and other strategy and annual meetings.
Ausannette holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Women Employed.
