
Benjamin J. Vann is an award-winning social entrepreneur, investor, speaker, and economic justice advocate, with over 14 years of experience working in both the private and public sector in finance and investments, philanthropy, global micro finance, community development, and entrepreneurship.
He is the Founder and CEO of Impact Ventures, a 501c3 startup accelerator and integrated capital fund with a mission to empower talented, yet under-resourced women and entrepreneurs of color to build generational wealth through inclusive entrepreneurship and integrated capital. Since 2017, Impact Ventures has impacted nearly 3,500 people through networking events, hackathons, workshops, and community summits. Since 2020, Impact Venture’s flagship accelerator programs have trained nearly 100 founders to collectively raise over $3.6M and create over 100 jobs in North Texas and across the US.
Impact Ventures recently launched the Dallas Inclusive Capital Fund, Texas’s first integrated capital fund providing flexible debt and patient equity capital to Women and BIPOC-led enterprises to create economic power and community wealth. In 2021, Benjamin was named to DCEO’s Dallas 500, featuring the 500 most influential business leaders in Dallas.
He is a Boston Impact Initiative Fellow, Mayors Star Council Fellow, Social Venture Partners Dallas Dana Juette Social Venture Residency Fellow, and was named Dallas-Fort Worth Future 50 Innovators. He is a Midwest native, and East Dallas, Texas resident with his fiancé Cashmere and son Benjamin II.
