Charles grew up in New Paltz, NY, where weekends exploring Hudson Valley farms planted the seed for Fullerfield Capital – but first he took a detour through Wall Street.
Charles rose to senior positions at J.P.Morgan, Lehman Brothers, and Citigroup, where he structured over $8 billion in credit transactions. But as he helped billion-dollar funds access capital, he grew troubled by the entrepreneurs and farmers who couldn’t – particularly regenerative practitioners facing systemic financing barriers.
In 2022, Charles left Wall Street to become Investment Director at Black Farmer Fund, deploying $6.3 million across 12 regenerative farms and food businesses. His fellowship with the Just Economy Institute showed him how patient, flexible capital could unlock transformation in underserved communities.
In 2025, Charles founded Fullerfield Capital to provide growth financing to established regenerative farms and food businesses, bridging the gap between traditional agricultural lending and venture capital.
Charles holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Point.
