Christine Reyes is a trusted finance professional with over 25 years of experience leading and transforming national and international philanthropic organizations to be leaders in their fields.
She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for California’s state-wide Women’s Foundation investing for social change at the intersection of gender, racial, and economic justice.
Christine’s talents and accomplishments include: sustainable and integrated budget development; financial reporting and forecasting for decision making; recruiting, developing and mentoring teams of high-performing professionals who collectively advance organization’s mission; technology planning and management; financial literacy training for organizational staff and board of directors; finance, operations and human resources policy development and culture innovation and strategy; and grantmaking for environmental and social change throughout the world.
Christine is currently growing and developing skills in socially responsible portfolio design and management to blend social and environmental justice with finance and is studying Ayurveda health philosophies and practices.
Born in San Francisco into an Irish-Mexican family, Christine is a licensed certified public accountant with experience in private and industry tax, accounting, and auditing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is an avid hiker, gardener and homesteader, a student of the dharma, and revels in music, dancing, reading, art, poetry and travel. She and her wife live on a small farm in Royal Oaks, California.
