Hayling Price is a social change strategist and advocate for economic justice. As a Managing Director at GDI Americas, he leads a portfolio of initiatives focused on community wealth building in the United States. In partnership with social entrepreneurs, organizers, and funders, he incubates solutions that help communities build financial security, democratize ownership, and exercise economic self-determination.
Before joining GDI, Hayling served as Executive Director of the Mobility Alliance Incubation Hub, a national initiative housed at the Urban Institute and seeded by the Gates Foundation to align and scale economic mobility efforts. He previously served in senior leadership at the Harlem Children’s Zone, where he launched a national field-building strategy to support place-based organizations improving outcomes for children and families. Earlier, as a consultant at FSG, he helped develop the firm’s systems change practice, advised private foundations, and led engagements with local coalitions nationwide.
Hayling holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He also maintains a creative practice as a keyboardist, music producer, and recording engineer.
