Jane Harvey is an advocate for regenerative economic systems and collective efforts to move money and power within the US. After practicing water and land use law, Jane turned to advocacy, non-profit work and learning around racial oppression. Jane helped start Front and Centered, Washington state’s first grassroots, BIPOC-led coalition working at the intersection of equity, environmental and climate justice. She also worked at Sightline Institute on alternative models of campaign finance reform including I-122, which became Seattle’s Democracy Voucher program.
Regenerative economics has become a priority for Jane through her involvement with community wealth building and racial justice. As an active member of Social Venture Partners Seattle, Jane helped hone SVP Seattle’s emphasis on making change from within the philanthropic sector. While engaging in relational reparations, her investments of time and resources have included direct and collective efforts to resource BIPOC-owned and led small businesses. Jane is an active member of the New Economy Washington Funders Collaborative, through People’s Economy Lab.
Jane’s family includes her spouse, Charlie Curtis, and two adult children. A large extended family means big, big family gatherings are happily a part of life, along with cooking, learning about gardening and dreaming about long walking trips.
