Jasmine Rashid (she/her) is a New York-raised, Oakland-based financial activist. In her role as the Director of Impact for Candide Group, she supports her team in directing millions of dollars in loans and equity investments to majority women and BIPOC-led social impact companies and funds.
Additionally, Jasmine is the co-founder of Real Money Moves, an educational nonprofit that has been instrumental in influencing many big banks to commit to ending their financing of the private prison and immigrant detention industry. She is a Congressman John Lewis fellow through the Humanity in Action network, and a graduate of Peace and Conflict Studies from Swarthmore College.
Jasmine’s upcoming book, The Financial Activist Playbook, aims to be an accessible, actionable guide to strategies (big and small) that everyday people can take to move money in support of racial justice.
