Katherine is a social justice attorney working to create a more just and inclusive economy. She currently leads partnership development at the Ownership Capital Lab, an organization that works to move capital into Employee-Ownership to address structural inequality in the United States. Katherine is also a proud member of the Board of the The California Wellness Foundation, whose mission is to protect and improve the health and wellness of the people of California by increasing access to health care, quality education, good jobs, healthy environments and safe neighborhoods. Prior to the OCL, Katherine spent three years as the Justice Policy Lead for the Yurok Tribe, where she worked to end the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People. Before this, Katherine was the founding executive director of Root & Rebound, where she worked to advance social and economic inclusion for people impacted by mass incarceration.
Katherine received her B.A in Anthropology from Columbia University and her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law. She is an attorney licensed to practice in California. Katherine lives in Berkeley with her husband, three children, puppy dog and senior cat, and enjoys, more than anything, time with them in nature.
