Katie Eukel is a principal of Seiche, a social impact strategy and communications firm that guides organizations through the transformative work of systems change. Using research, strategy & planning and creative communications, she translates community insights into creative action with clients that have included the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, McKnight Foundation, Allina Health, Fresh Energy, Energy Foundation, Children & Nature Network, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention/Minnesota Department of Health, and others.
Katie has a background in community organizing, strategic communications and organizational development, and has worked in the philanthropic, civic and media sectors for nearly 20 years. She has developed programming strategies that resulted in multi-million-dollar funding portfolios, new media organizations, and capacity-building initiatives that have strengthened hundreds of organizations nationwide. Equal parts supportive advisor and razor-sharp strategist, Katie leads with intelligence, warmth and wit, and a dash of irreverence.
Katie has a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies from Macalester College. She serves on the board of the Sierra Club North Star Chapter and volunteers as a class agent with Macalester College. Katie lives in Minneapolis within walking distance of a waterfall, a creek and two lakes, which she walks often with her husband, Reed, and two rescue dogs, Johnny and June.
