Kim Griffin serves as Head of Membership Operations at Toniic, a global community of impact investors. Toniic connects members with resources that advance their impact investing journeys, including education, investment opportunities, best practices, impact support, and peer learning.
Kim’s career and life’s work have been shaped by moving money to build a world with more environmental and economic justice. She advocates for philanthropy, community lending, impact investing, and non-extractive finance as tools for a just transition. She believes the people most affected by injustice should be decision-makers in shaping the solutions. Kim is optimistic that we can channel our collective power to move from an extractive economy to one built on solidarity with each other and our planet.
Previous positions were fundraising with The Nature Conservancy, Austin Habitat for Humanity, St. Edward’s University, and Agua Dulce Farm. Kim holds an MBA, a BA in Environmental Studies and Spanish, and a CFA certificate in Investment Foundations.
Kim is an organizer with Resource Generation, especially focused on political education to catalyze the building of a solidarity economy. To relax she enjoys being outside, biking, cooking, exploring nature trails, (fiber) art, and reading. She lives in Richmond, VA, with her husband, Mike.
