Molly Harmon is a strategist, relational weaver, and capital organizer dedicated to building a new economy rooted in resilience, justice, human flourishing, and distributive leadership. Her work focuses on reimagining how resources move—grounding them in culture, community, and collective power. This commitment has led her into leadership roles across initiatives working to dismantle extractive models, from grassroots mutual aid networks to board-level governance, shaping mission-aligned strategies.
Molly’s experience spans faith-aligned investing, trust-based philanthropy, and community-rooted entrepreneurship, with a consistent focus on relationship, dignity, and shared power. As the founder and designer of community ventures—including a private chef business and a nationally modeled mutual aid food network—she brings a unique perspective on how nourishment, culture, and capital can intersect to sustain thriving, resilient communities.
As an active member of the New Economy Washington Funders Collaborative, Molly champions regenerative economics and community wealth building by advancing the expectation that 100% of philanthropic portfolios be activated for justice.
Rooted in a practice of reflection, she holds guiding questions in her work: How might we build community through alternative investment decisions and structures? What does wealth accumulation get in the way of? These questions ground her commitment to aligning resources with relational trust, equity, and systemic transformation.
