Sabrina Wu is a Senior Fellow at East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF), where she leads the foundation’s work on building an inclusive and equitable economy. EBCF’s Inclusive Economy initiative focuses on creating equitable opportunities for good jobs, entrepreneurship, and career pathways, particularly for underserved communities. One of the key strategies is shifting capital to better reflect the Foundation’s values of equity and social justice. To that end, Sabrina leads EBCF’s interdepartmental staff committee on impact investing, which brings together Finance, Program, and Development teams to build greater understanding and consensus on increasingly investing the Foundation’s assets towards mission. Sabrina also leads the Foundation’s work in partnering with aligned financial institutions to create direct investment vehicles that aggregate private capital and invest it in mission-driven enterprises and developments and entrepreneurs of color. Prior to her work at EBCF, Sabrina spent over a decade working on community food systems development and creating healthy food access in underresourced communities through local food enterprise development, primarily in the Bay Area and New York City. Sabrina holds a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College of Columbia University and a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Food and Environmental Policy from Tufts University.
