Dominique Tan is the co-founder and Co-CEO of Mitra BUMMA, a nonprofit that partners with tribes in Indonesia to build the capacity and resources needed for indigenous-led businesses that protect people and planet in some of the world’s most ecologically and culturally rich regions. A first-generation Indonesian American, Dominique is passionate about the role of diasporic communities in supporting Indigenous Peoples and advancing equity. She began her career in public policy in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on social equity initiatives before transitioning to the private sector. At the Unical Group, a global supply chain solutions provider for over 3,500 aviation industry clients, she served as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Director of Special Projects & Business Intelligence. Dominique serves as Chief of Staff for the CoulsonTan Joint Venture, whose aerial firefighting innovations have been featured on 60 Minutes, Bloomberg Businessweek, and CBS News. She is an alumna of the Just Economy Institute’s Integrated Capital Fellowship and serves as a board member of the Liberty Hill Foundation and co-chair of its Environment and Justice Donor Circle.
