Erika Lucas is the Founder of StitchCrew, an organization providing capital and resources to the new majority entrepreneurs, and VEST Her Ventures, a peer network for women professionals and investment fund focused on women-led companies in the Care Economy and Future of Work. After a successful career in economic development and private equity, Erika launched StitchCrew to democratize access to capital and resources for traditionally overlooked entrepreneurs. Since its launch in 2017, StitchCrew has supported more than 220 women and minority-owned startups and partnered with global brands like the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder, BASF, and Google, along with government agencies and philanthropic organizations.
In response to the disproportionate impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on women at work, Erika launched VEST, a peer network for women professionals, and furthered this effort by establishing VEST Her Ventures to invest in women-led companies building solutions for women, working families, and inclusive employers. Erika is a LinkedIn Top Voice on Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship. She is also a sought-after speaker, addressing a wide range of audiences, including Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and economic development organizations.
