Country: United States

City / State: Brooklyn, NY

Ishita Shah brings over 15 years of experience spanning investment research & diligence, impact analysis, and client management. She is an independent consultant specializing in catalytic capital, advising family offices, fund managers, and nonprofits on how to design and deploy strategies across asset classes with a deep focus on racial equity, climate justice, and regenerative agriculture. Her clients include Mulberry Hive (family office), Prime Coalition, Boston Impact Initiative, and Collective Action for Just Finance.

Previously, Ishita spent five years at Align Impact, a 100% impact-focused Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), where she built and led the firm’s Catalytic Capital practice. In this role, she shaped the strategy and investment process for impact-first opportunities, enabling the deployment of $86 million across 40+ catalytic investments. Earlier in her career, she gained experience at the MacArthur Foundation, NewSchools Venture Fund, and New Classrooms, sharpening both her financial and impact analysis.

Ishita holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she concentrated in impact investing. She is passionate about challenging profit maximization as the singular goal of markets and advancing approaches to living, working, and investing rooted in justice and sustainability.
