Ken Tsunoda serves as Vice President of Development for TechSoup, a nonprofit social enterprise that has distributed $11 billion in donated or specially-discounted technology and other resources to over one million non-profits globally. Ken leads an innovative Growth Capital Campaign to raise $11.5 million by engaging TechSoup’s stakeholders as impact investors through a Direct Public Offering of debt securities. He was previously General Manager of NGOsource, a project of the Council on Foundations and TechSoup, that streamlines global philanthropy for U.S. grantmakers. Prior to TechSoup, Ken served as Executive Director of Sager Family Foundation, which incubated start-up social ventures in conflict areas. He worked as Executive Director of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Peace Action Network, an initiative that mobilized YPO’s global network of 20,000 business leaders to make an impact on issues such as regional conflict, poverty, and education. Ken served as Managing Director of CMTC, an economic development program funded by the US Commerce Department and State of California, with the mission to promote global competitiveness of California’s smaller manufacturers. Ken worked as Vice President, International at OffRoad Capital, where he was responsible for international business development. OffRoad Capital raised financing for private technology companies through a network of high net worth individuals and institutional investors. Ken also worked with Sanwa Research, Sanwa Bank’s Tokyo-based strategy consulting group. Ken earned an A.B. with honors in Physics from Harvard, and a M.P.P. degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School. He serves as co-chair of the San Francisco Social Enterprise Leadership Forum.
