Community impact has always been central to Nydia Cárdenas’ goals. She started her career at a non-profit focused on economic development in the Latinx community. Next, she was a Senior Analyst for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. After interviewing hundreds of entrepreneurs, she was inspired to pursue an MBA and learn the tools of big business and bring them back to the small businesses driving economic development in communities. After graduation, she did just that in Detroit where she launched her own consulting company and taught business planning in English and Spanish to community entrepreneurs. She had the opportunity to engage with innovative impact models like the Equitable Internet Initiative and RISEtoWin.org. Now as Director of Customer Success at CrowdSmart, a cutting-edge startup using human-powered AI to improve decision-making, Nydia is working to reduce the bias in traditional investing. As in any good startup, she wears many hats and leverages daily her superpower for building processes. What fuels Nydia’s spirit the most is sharing the transformative tools she’s learned through her education and experience. At the top of that list are Generative Methods developed by Dr. Melissa Peet. Nydia has connected entrepreneurs, students and retired athletes to their strengths and purpose using the methods. Nydia holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
