Caitlin Duffy serves as First Vice President of Philanthropy Banking for Amalgamated Bank, a national socially responsible bank, and the largest B Corporation bank in the US. Building on a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Caitlin leads strategy and relationship management for philanthropic organizations. She supports mission alignment across clients’ banking, lending, and investment needs.
Caitlin began her career in education, direct service, and fundraising with organizations serving youth, people with disabilities, and Latin American immigrant communities. Most recently, Caitlin worked with the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy in progressive leadership roles in research, programming, and engagement. She has served on the board of the Diverse City Fund, a community-led grantmaking fund in Washington, DC, and on the steering committee for the DC chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy. She was a 2015 Next Gen Fellow with Exponent Philanthropy.
Caitlin holds a MA in Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs from American University’s School of International Service, and a BA in Spanish from The College of New Jersey.
As a white person descended from European immigrants who settled on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lenape Peoples in New Jersey, Caitlin is committed to reckoning with the ongoing harm of colonization and white supremacy, to supporting reparations and land rematriation, and to advancing racial justice and healing. She currently lives on the unceded ancestral lands of the Piscataway Peoples in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband.
